Who We Are

Vision

Our vision is for the Argentine neighborhood to be a diverse and welcoming community, celebrating the God-given gifts of every person where health, wholeness, and joy thrive.

Mission

Through connection and relationships, we affirm the dignity and potential of our community.

We connect people to individual gifts, neighbors, faith and culture, vital resources for health and wholeness, stories, and joy.

Who We Are

We are focused on developing deep relationships with our neighbors in the Argentine community and we are also working with churches across the Kansas City District to connect them to the Argentine and Wyandotte County communities. Our ministry is modeled on Asset Based Community Development which celebrates God's abundant gifts and creation in every individual. Right now, we are focused on getting to know our neighbors and building community through community organizing and intentional listening.

We provide a Community Market and Clothing Closet on Tuesday mornings for free food and clothing. A group of neighbors leads a Community Garden on the southwest corner of our property and we offer an After School Program in partnership with YouthFront Neighborhoods. We celebrate the gifts of individuals in Argentine through our weekly “Neighbors of Argentine” campaign. And, we partner with several organizations in the community who share our building space.

Welcome Statement

The Hub celebrates God’s gift of diversity and values the wholeness made possible in a community equally shared and shepherded by all.

We welcome and affirm people of every age, race, ethnicity, nationality, physical and mental ability, education level, family structure, faith background or tradition, gender identity, gender expression, and sexual orientation, and people of every economic, immigration, citizenship, marital, housing, and social status.

We acknowledge that we live in a world of profound social, economic, and political inequities. And, we commit ourselves to the pursuit of justice and pledge to stand in solidarity with all members of the Argentine neighborhood.

Enough about us, now we want to know who you are! Reach out to us today and get connected.
