The Hub Community Garden’s mission is to be “a safe space for the neighborhood to grow food and build healthy community.” We believe the garden is a space to learn about and grow healthy food and build stronger relationships with our neighbors. We have regular work days at the garden and community events. Also, we want you to share your gifts with us and help plant, water, and maintain the community garden.

The garden is located at the corner of S 38th and Metropolitan Ave on the SW corner of our property. All of the produce we grow is given away in the Argentine neighborhood. We need lots of neighbors to help us build the garden and grow the food, so that means there is a place for you! You may also make a financial donation to the garden using the “Give” button above. If you have any questions about how to get involved, please get in touch with Pastor Carter.

In the first 5 years of the garden, we’ve grown bell peppers, carrots, cilantro, eggplant, garlic, hot peppers, jalapenos, kale, lemon balm, okra, onions, potatoes, sage, sweet potatoes, tomatillos, and tomatoes. We also have a small orchard with blackberries, cherries, jujubes, peaches, and pears. Our garden is open to all neighbors, allowing them to pick fresh produce and herbs from dawn to dusk every day. Currently growing: Garlic! Check back in the spring for an update on what will be growing in the garden in 2026.

Meet us at the garden for the first event of the year!
